I said no originally, then realized it'd be a lot easier to memorize your name if it didn't have a dash. Kind of like how I always get *Kaze-Hime's name wrong if I'm not selecting her from a list or searching on Google.
I voted NO but I've reconsidered... I think you Should only if you feel like it! Remember that in order to create, you first need to destroy... so perhaps our Virus-AC needs, -as the phoenix- reconstruct it self?? Perhaps feeling like you need a change/refresh or somethin'? If so, then you should! As long as you feel comfortable and identified with the new username, everything else (pool's results and our comment included) don't matter! To me, yer still gonna be my Virus ! ...You got the skill, the inspiration, -the blessing- and the personality so, it's still gonna be YOU no matter what! so.. aja aja Fighting!!
I actually like your username(hey, I'm an older fan of yours, but it's been a while^w^), because the "virus" in the name helps to show that, like an actual virus, you are able to spread your art to others, and thus, they contribute from your awesome art and all that^^
I would like reasons before making any kind of decision. Though, I would not mind if you did change your name, just interested in your interest in changing it. I am seeing below, ...well, a lot of silly comments for you to change your name, so your input would be most helpful.
I can understand why you changed it the first time, but I like your username the way it is. It's a good name and I associate people more with their usernames than the icon, because that's easier to change.
However, if you want to change your name to something completely different and have a name in mind, then you can if you want.

I don't get why people would want to change their username so bad... It's like to change a piece of theirself even in the eyes of others. I can understand this kind of choice only when it comes to mistakes that passed unnoticed while signing in or, like flutist say, when it's so long and random to be even hard to remember. :/
Only if you truly hate it. (For example, mine is from my foolish teenage days.)
Otherwise, don't bother. Why? Because your username is linked to your online brand name and therefore brand recognition. I've had several artists I follow change their usernames and it makes it harder for me to remember/recognize them. It's not horrible, and is more of a pain for us watchers (*cough* stalkers) but if you have a staunch internet following it could hurt you. This mostly applies to people who:
1. Are extremely popular 2. Use the same username across websites (dA, tumblr, blog, etc.) 3. Have high commission turnovers ( i.e. are successful at selling their art)
All of these things tie into brand recognition. Your username is your brand. Let's face it, people have short attention spans. You want them to know you, like you, remember you, and keep paying attention to you.
TL;DR Don't do it unless you absolutely, truly can't stand your current name.
That depends. If you're itching for a change, go for it. But if you don't really care and are just feeling peer-pressured by all the name changes going on around you, you might wanna stick with your current name lest you confuse more casual watchers and non-DArtist visitors.
your real name or something close (like seane for sean ellery) is more professional
really it seems to me the only people who get away with having a weird username *are* the big name professionals, whom everyone recognises regardless of what they call themselves. However the recent trend in my experience is for pros to use their real name anyway.
