'INSUHTBP' Comic Status UpdateHello everyone! I just wanted to update everyone who cares about the comic. I know it's been awhile since the last update, but just know that I'm still working on it. My semester is over, now there is so much time for activities! Web Tools: Clipping Magic!

The above image says it all! The geniuses at ClippingMagic.com created this wonderful tool where users can upload their own images and key out the backgrounds.
There is a very simple concept behind it, simply color the general area you want to keep green, then the areas you want to remove red. A yellow line will then outline your selection, giving you the ability to further refine your selection if you arent happy.

Personally, I find the tool to be quite acceptable. It for the most part removes the correct background for any image I upload. With a little fine tuning it can be perfect in seconds. Now keep in mind, this tool is only in alpha, but it is still a wonderful web-based tool that works as advertised!
Now true this is no replacement for Adobe's Photoshop, but for those of you dont own Photoshop this is a wonderful alternative. There are s

☆ Do you really want to become an artist? ☆

So you have Deviantart account, I assumed you want to be an artist, do you? or you're not? how many of you seriously want to become a professional artist or is drawing just a hobby? I love art, no doubts but it's just a hobby. I never wanted to be in this industry, I went to Art School because I have no other choice because of my math! I wanted to be an architect or archeologist but sadly no one guide me in that time! but Somehow I felt like I'm following the right path, and I am glad I'm not good at math! <3

Life is unexpected.
What about you guys?

Your doing, exactly, what I wanted to do since middle school. Math is my worst subject by far and because its such a crucial skill to have it causes limitation. Now I'm limited even more that the parentals are saying I must take up something else. I wish I had the happy accident you had in finding your art carrer and really, I dont say I like peoples art often. ( I have a perfection ocd in artworks) an I really enjoy your art and am happy that you ended up in this wonderful world of creativity.

I wanted to be an artist when I was younger, but then decided to go for math and computers instead, have never regretted it : ) I'm happier with art being just a hobby without pressures.

Wow, I'm just like you. I'm bad at math, and I want to be an archeologist b/c I LOVE culture and history, and my dad's an architect so naturally I was interested in the field. I love to draw, but I have a loooong way to go. I'm going for physical therapy at the moment. There is some math...but in the real job it's not used as much. Architects use more geometry than algebra, and geometry is actually a forte of mine and I enjoy it...but algebra KILLS me. But that's great that you feel that your heading in the right direction! ^^

I love art, I don't want it to just be a hobby, but so far it seems like that's all it's going to be.
I'm an A+ student in all my classes, so my parents have high hopes for me. They want me to be a lawyer or a doctor, something like that where I earn a lot of money. I even considered maybe I'll settle for a lawyer (no way can I handle being a doctor cutting up people and such

), since I don't know what I want to do with my life. But then I discovered deviantART, and my artistic abilities have improved since then. My friends all root for me to become an artist. I really want to become a Graphic Designer where I'm basically my own boss (I don't like taking orders

) or an Illustrator, but my dad says I'll have no money and starve

I don't want to pursue something if I know that my parents won't support me...

One of my old boyfriends wanted to be an artist, so I expected him to rock at drawing. One day I let him come into my room and I had my pics all over the wall and he started talking about how unique and different I was. Turns out he only told me he was an artist because he knew I'd like him more. I got a thing for those artistic boys! My parents have always told me I could do anything I wanted with my odd talent, so I sculpt, paint, draw, sew, all that stuff. and I dont have to get paid for it, just as long as it makes me a happy person. I'll go get a job and be yelled at them come home to draw a masterpiece on my wall! And that hunny, is an artist. someone who can make it happen without any label. so dont worry about it. youre already an artist!
