Butter Paper

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 1, 2009, 5:17 PM

Butter Paper what???

NOTE!! Butter Paper is one of my paper material. I used different paper also, usually the cheap one like DoubleAA!

Okay Seems like eveyone keep asking what the hell is BUTTER PAPER so here is my LOVELY A3 Butter Paper! NOTE: It's TRANSPARENT!

Draft Sketches, basically in Photoshop then Print out!

Now, here is the trick! TADA!!!

The DRAWING begins!

I'm avoid using my LightBox coz I'm too lazy to err...switch ON...^^
BUT it's very usefull sometimes!

Hope I made it all clear!

EDITED : I know some of u find tis is a very strange methods but everyone got their own technique, and Yeah I do drawing digitally but I dun want to spent so much time infront monitor screen coz I've got headache and stress. Otherwise I've got a solid proof so no one in the world can sue me from stealing an artworks!

Bet u want a Drawing tutorial next rite? Who want the TUTORIAL? Raise ur hands! I might consider it! ^^

Butter paper is like non-digital layers... I think I might use it sometime :) that's IF I find it in my local craftstore.

Where do you find the A3/A4 paper you draw on? I've been trying to find that size but some people are sure of what i am talking about. Can you give some company names that make them, that will make my search a bit easier. Thanks so much.

mostly in art shop, near art school, I meant you can't find this on big famous art stationary like Kinokuniya or NanYang art store because they're just selling branded stuff, this one is too cheap, so try finding it at small art stationary near art school.

You living in United State of America, so it's hard to believe that US still have small town! It's one of my weird dream, to spend my holiday in small town in US like in texas, riding horse and play with the mud. Okay I'm crazy. XD

lolz nah your not crazy our town here is so small you would have to pass through here or be on the free way to even see about this town, and there is only two exits, we don't even have a target or a best buy, we don't even have a mall or anything, literally this town is tiny, and up till we got our block buster and star bucks we had nothing to show for this town except k-mart and even then ours is kinda small.... O .o but yeah my town is in cali, and yet we are that small >XD

Haha, I've never heard of a butter paper. I think it is more convenient to use it because the shading effects will be more beautiful. I wish you could make another tutorial like steps by steps on drawing and shading because many of us are curious. BTW, I watched you for a very long time and your works are inspiring!!!
